  • Avoid shopping in bulk. Buying organic food in bulk could pose the problem of it getting spoiled faster. So, go for smaller quantities and do keep them sealed. 

  • Check for the organic percentage. Organic percentages of food can vary from 50% to 100%. The term 100% organic means the product is made in a chemical-free environment.

  • Check the nutrient value. Organic food is rich in nutrients & antioxidants and has a comparatively lower amount of nitrates. So quickly go through the nutritional value to ensure the credibility of the product.

  • Get help when you go shopping. With so many companies and different greenwashing tactics, shopping for organic products can get difficult. So, ask questions at the store about the product, label or anything that you don’t understand.

  • Shop online to avail coupons and discounts. Organic food can be expensive but online stores offer better deals than their brick-and-mortar counterparts. Ideally, stick to one grocery or online supermarket as they offer discounts and rewards to their loyal shoppers.
